You’re Not a Failure If You Can’t Figure It All Out Yourself , You’re Human
If you don’t have everything figured out all by yourself, that makes you a failure.
Did you just start to argue with that sentence?
Good.
Because it’s not true. In fact, it’s a bold-faced lie that far too many entrepreneurs, creatives, and high-achievers silently believe. We’ve been sold the idea that success is a solo mission — that if you’re really good, if you’re truly capable, if you’re as talented as they say, you’ll be able to “figure it all out” on your own.
But here’s the truth: You shouldn’t. You won’t. You can’t.
No matter how brilliant you are at what you do, you are not meant to do everything in a vacuum.
The Echo Chamber Trap
When you’re deep in the day-to-day of building, running, and sustaining a business, you are quite literally breathing your brand. You see every moving part, every client comment, every marketing hiccup, every last-minute pivot. And because you’re so close to it, it’s easy to convince yourself that you’re the only one who could possibly understand it well enough to fix it or grow it.
But think about this: Have you ever given someone else advice and thought, How do they not see this? It seems so obvious from your perspective, right?
That’s what I’m talking about. It’s not that they’re blind. It’s that they’re in it. And you, from the outside, had clarity they couldn’t access.
Now flip that around — can you accept that someone might have the same clarity about you?
Stuck Is a Signal, Not a Sentence
If you’re stuck, unsure, or just tired of spinning your wheels trying to make “the next right move,” you’re not broken. You’re not behind. You’re simply at a point where an outside perspective is necessary.
The desire to change is there — you know something has to shift — but maybe you don’t know where to start. Maybe it feels too risky. Or maybe you’re scared of making the wrong move, wasting time or money, or simply looking like you don’t know what you’re doing.
That’s normal. But staying stuck prolongs the discomfort.
Here’s the Shortcut (That’s Not a Shortcut)
What if I told you there’s a ridiculously simple way to break out of that cycle and move forward faster, more clearly, and more confidently?
Ask for help.
And not just from anyone. From someone you trust, respect, and — this part is crucial — someone you’re actually willing to listen to. Getting feedback is easy. Accepting it and acting on it? That’s the work.
Sometimes, asking for help is harder than doing anything in your business.
Why? Because it means letting go of ego. Letting go of control. Letting go of the belief that your value is tied to your ability to “do it all.”
If this is landing for you, you’ll want to listen to today’s episode, Let It Go, where we explore:
-
When to ask for help (and how to know it’s time)
-
Who to ask for feedback and why trust matters more than credentials
-
How to ask in a way that opens you up to receive, rather than defend
Let go of the pressure. Let someone in. And let yourself grow.
